All models from 2019 forward are equipped with standard FordPass Connect. (FordPass Connect™ is available on select 2018 Ford models) FordPass Connect is a modem embedded in your Ford vehicle to connect the vehicle to the internet. This provides functionality for the FordPass app and other features like Live Traffic Information and a 4G LTE Wi Fi Hotspot.

To set up your vehicle with FordPass Connect, you simply download the FordPass app to your smartphone and add your vehicle by entering its VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). Next, on the home screen, select Vehicle Details, then Activate Vehicle. Lastly, start your vehicle and press “Allow” when a notice appears on the touchscreen.
